The Rainy Day Apparel
An acoustic duo comprised of Kaden and Larry Elford, a young musician and his father. The duo began in Texas after Kaden helped behind the scenes with a couple of bands that his father played in, and they decided to pursue performing together. They have played vineyard openings, restaurants, pubs, festivals, outdoor dance halls, and private parties everywhere from Mexico to Texas to Nebraska to Canada. They most enjoy acoustic re-makes of classic tunes and singing harmonies together, adding their own style to familiar tunes. Occasionally they will insert an original tune or even an old time hymn. Although they do enjoy the stage, you will most often find them around a bonfire strumming for friends, or on the street corner playing requests for the passersby. They believe firmly in the old saying that “Music is medicine for the Soul!”
Water and Wood
Water & Wood was formed in 2011 and features Trevor Clearwater on acoustic guitar and vocals with Dave Hopwood on bass guitar and vocals. Water & Wood now has a three-piece band option, featuring drums, a four-piece with Keyboard & Electric Guitar and five-piece with an additional electric guitar. Trevor and Dave have played together for much longer than that, as members of Winnipeg country group Hawg Wylde which played together for over 20 years, releasing 3 albums. Water & Wood became a way to play more as Hawg Wylde began to wind down. The main reason for starting this new venture was to put together a very natural, campfire sound that translates well into any setting, allowing listeners to enjoy acoustic versions of all their favorite hit songs across multiple genres of music. In other words, we get to play all the songs we always wanted to play!
